DECK AND FLOOR is a Plettenberg Bay based company which services most Garden Route areas. We are a small team which is owner driven and are passionate about all things wood. Our goal is to make clients’ visions a reality and attempt to exceed their expectations. Our clientele vary from influential business people with new houses on Beachy Head Drive to long-standing locals with a cottage in the forest to Town Council's upgrades to Plett’s Main Street.

We strive to provide the best material and select the best of that material together with a professional workmanship approach to ensure a top quality product.

We work in conjunction with top construction companies and architectural firms which require a high level of craftsmanship and correct interpretation of design.

DECK AND FLOOR specialises in all aspects of timber construction with emphasis on decking, flooring, balustrading, pergolas, staircases, screens, gates, boardwalks and saunas.

We also construct new timber homes and various second / third storey timber additions to garages and art studios.

DECKING

Timber decking adds warmth and feel to any home, accentuating entertainment and pool areas with a functional surface which grows with your home.

Hardwoods such as balau, garapa, jarra and massaranduba are highly recommended for it’s durability and maintenance-free qualities. These timbers vary in colour but begin to age from time of installation and can begin to silver and grey depending on direct exposure to sun and rain.

These timbers are sought after in South Africa as they can withstand our severe climates, especially in coastal areas. We also use pine as a decking alternative.

FLOORING

Timber flooring is a favourite to any home, especially in areas requiring warmth and comfort such as bedrooms, studies and dining areas.

Solid and engineered flooring are recommended for most home surfaces and development allows these timbers to be highly durable for many years to come, however, high moisture areas such as bathrooms and showers should be avoided.

There is a wide range of soft and hardwood / engineered timbers suitable for flooring purposes.

CARPENTRY

DECK AND FLOOR are also involved in various other aspects of timber construction, from new builds and timber additions to staircases, pergolas, balustrades and saunas.

We are also known for taking on projects with high levels of difficulty and extreme design. The incorporation of galvanised steel frames to stainless steel finishes is our forte.
